Digital image processing

My head is about to explode with Photoshop, Carboni, and Pixinsight.  I did not really like how I had processed my M31 from 9/22, so I studied more and I reprocess it again.  I'm happier with the results now.  I have updated my image on 9/22 but I wanted to post it here, and I hope I don't break any rules, but If I do, Neil, please let me know.

Enjoy it!

M.

Well, I just fixed the nasty horizontal lines. The whole processing path is quite a learning curve. My head is about to exploded with the tweaks.

Well, you know those big bucks, high roller, high tech entrepreneurs....they have all the great equipment. LOL I am lucky to afford what I have....as meager as it may be.

Hi Barry, no kidding about 4,312 adjustments. As soon as I thought the M-31 was a good image, I noticed some nasty horizontal lines across the image. oh well! More research in the horizon. Thanks for the compliments! It was very helpful to have my dad's 300mm Nikkor available, my current equipment is not suitable for this shot either. I'm in the boat. Neil is the one who has the great 66mm scope. That is a wonderful piece of equipment.

Very nice image. I sure wish I could get a wide field shot of M31. Theoretically, I could get most of it in the frame with my focal reducer on the camera, but then I can't bring the scope to focus.....not enough inward travel. Irritating to say the least. Oh well, I can always live vicariously through you guys. Nice work.

Can't understand why you would be having any problem with the processing software. After all, there is only something like 4,312 possible adjustments available...... LOL That is the only problem with digital photography. You can play with the processing forever.
