SATURN 10pm - 11pm 10" Dob
Tonight was Saturn night. I have seen it better, but the views tonight were well above average. Once my mirror cooled down, I even got very brief glimpses of the Cassini Division.
Used: 10mm eyepiece (120x)
The 6mm produced the best views......the best compromise of size and sharpness.
I believe I saw 5 moons arranged as follow. I haven't checked to see which ones they were (Just did). I only saw 4 moons.
Titan x x -O- x o
Dione Tethys Rhea apparently
Turns out Enceladus was sitting right about the rings on the "right" side.....in my inverted view. I didn't spot it. Titan and Rhea were bright and easily seen. Dione and Tethys often took averted vision to see.....they would appear and disappear.
