I guess I don't need to tell anyone on here that processing is difficult!   Both of these images are giving me fits, trying to get everything as optimized as possible.   When you solve one problem, you usually create another one in the process.   M31 is especially difficult!!!

The conditions were pretty good.   Still, we are plagued with a persistent haze, but the sky was cloud free, the moon was nearly new, and my pesky neighbors were gone, so I didn't have to deal with their porch and garage lights.

First I added to the previous night's data on IC 5146, the Cocoon nebula.   The added data is not making a huge difference in my image......I am sure the problem is in my processing.   Then I switched telescopes.....putting the camera in my 80mm ST refractor to shoot M31.
