Friday night, 3/19/10: Another major disappointment. I continue to have problems working with my new imaging scope. So far, the images have not met my expectations. I hope, as I get more familiar with it, that the images will improve.
I captured an hour of M51, an hour of M101, and 30 minutes of Markarian's Chain of galaxies. The M51 & M101 images are simply not worth posting. The image of Markarian's chain shows a terribly uneven splotchy background sky and some bad gradient, ugly stars and poor detail, but I will post it here since it is my first attempt to image it.
Markarian's Chain: including NGC 4477, 4479, 4473, 4458, 4461, 4435, & M86, M84
