I should be out tonight, but the last two nights were so frustrating, I need to regroup. The night before I was having camera issues.......never did get sufficient imaging time. Last night things went well mechanically......the mount tracked well, the camera worked well, but my results are extremely poor. The seeing was terrible, but the sky was cloud free and dry...no dew. Transparency was decent, for around here.
I shot about an hour of M45, M65/66 and M81/82. M45 came out the best of the three......which isn't saying much. The other two are terrible.....a combination of small objects, bad seeing, and a cheap 80mm scope.......and very probably, my lack of processing skills.
Canon 350D DSLR, Celestron CG5 GT mount, Orion 80mm ST refractor.
