Managed to get in about an hour [10pm-11pm-ish] at the eyepiece of my 12" Dob. Once the air settled down inside my scope, the view of Saturn was above average......with the Cassini Division clearly visible. Saturn is noticably dimmer than it was a couple of months ago.
I was able to see some surface detail on the non-illuminated [Earth shine] part of the moon. I don't recall doing that before......something new.
I got a nice view of M82 with a 10mm eyepiece [about 150x], showing some dust lanes and structure. M81 showed mostly the central core with some very faint traces of the spiral structure. On a scale of 10: M82=6 M81=2
Just stuck my nose outside [12:45am]: The clouds have pretty much covered the sky. Could see a dim star here and there.
No images tonight......but "hope Springs eternal" for the near future.
